ALLNIGHT PARTIES, FIGHTS, BROKEN GLASS- MURDERS

Dear Representative Clarke:

I am life-long resident of New York, a parent and a lawyer. I recently bought a
three-family home in Crown Heights.

In the neighborhood illicit parties take place all summer, charging entrance fees,
serving alcohol (including to minors)and blasting music loud enough to shake the
glassware in my kitchen until 5:30am.

This all takes place without permits at private residences and creates a noise
nuisance, tons of trash and broken glass and fights, sometimes leading to
this- MURDERS:

The 5:15 a.m. shooting at a Flatbush party that claimed the life of recent high school
graduate Michael Gonzales, 18, also wounded two other young men, ages 22 and 29,
who each suffered gunshot wounds to the arm, cops said. Investigators believe the killer
opened fire after getting booted from the Rogers Ave. party, police said.

Repeated call to 911 go unheeded and I am told to call 311, register a complaint and
nothing! I was up all night (and morning) trying to get to sleep to get to work in the morning,
to no avail.

The city has no problem writing tickets for good citizens who double park or leave a
Coke can in the regular trash, yet these parties go on without any enforcement or penalty.

Please contact the local police precinct or city officials to address this or at least respond
to calls of this nature. It is a nunisance and now has far worse consequences.
